The AEON Tree Planter was invented by Norbert Noecker in 1946. It was the first successful tree planting machine in the State of Michigan. The planting machines are now called the AEON TREE PLANTER. Each machine is hand crafted by Larry Kaylor of KAYLOR WELDING SERVICES.

The basic design of the AEON TREE PLANTER consists of: a coulter, trencher, and packing wheel.

These very basic parts have remained unchanged since the planter was invented. However, there have been several improvements made to increase strength and convenience. The frame is made out of steel bars five inches by one and a half inches with a trencher welded securely to it. Each machine is equipped with a single seat for planting ease and comes with a tub to hold the trees being planted. Lift eye balances whole planter while being loaded for transit. In addition, each machine comes with two support legs to simplify storage and hook-up procedures. We strongly recommend a 45 HP Tractor or a tractor that is capable of lifting 1000 Lbs. Each standard unit comes equipped with a washtub style tree reserve tree tub which replaces the blue tub illustrated in this series of images.

Professional Tree planters welcome the AEON TREE PLANTING MACHINE for its ease of operation, low maintenance, and durability. With so few parts very little repair is ever needed. It is occasionally necessary to hard face weld or replace the trencher point. This planter has been on the market for 25 years. It is used in many types of soil conditions and can handle most any large sized transplant. It has a planting trench of 12 - 14 inches, which minimizes root pruning of stock and insures better survival rate. The AEON TREE PLANTER has proven itself many times over.

Trencher point easily accessible for changing.

Front surface of trencher and point treated with hard face weld.

The complete machine weighs approximately 1200 pounds.

Optional Accessories

Optional - extra large tub for reserve trees: 11" high, 14" wide, by 36" long, holds water and is equipped with a drain plug.
Optional - gauge wheel to maintain the desired depth of the trench.
